Professional Mental Health Services in Greater New Haven
Our Philosophy
The goal of our practice is to provide the best possible mental health care to our patients using approaches that are sensibly based on quality evidence while also being tailored to each person's uniqueness, strengths, needs, and circumstances. We believe that through careful and honest examination, most people can come to understand the essential nature of their problems in terms that then lead the way toward real progress or solutions. Often, the path forward is gradual and involves a combination of effort, support, guidance, intervention, and time. We are prepared to share in these processes with those who desire to improve their mental health, and will do so with care, commitment, intelligence, patience, and compassion, keeping in mind that our greatest reward is seeing our work with patients culminate in more functional and fulfilling lives.
Our Providers
Richard Yun, M.D.
Dr. Yun is a Board-certified psychiatrist and the Medical Director for Integral Health Associates. Following his B.S. in Physics and M.D. from the University of California, Irvine, he completed his Residency in Psychiatry at Yale University and then joined the full-time faculty there as an Assistant Professor. While at Yale, he headed functional brain imaging studies investigating the effects of stress on cognitive-emotional interactions, served as Director of the Dual Diagnosis Clinic, and supervised post-graduate psychiatry residents and medical students. In 2010, after nine years at Yale, his desire to better impact the community led him to shift into full-time private practice. Dr. Yun's work with patients often involves moving from a basis of psychological and neurobiological understanding to individualized therapeutic approaches that address areas fundamental to psychological fitness, aiming toward lasting positive changes in patterns of thinking, emotional response, and behavior.
Amy Catalano, Psy.D.
Dr. Catalano has been serving clients as a licensed clinical psychologist in the New Haven area since 2006. After receiving her B.S. from Tufts University and her Doctorate in Psychology from Antioch New England Graduate School, she went on to complete post-graduate training at the Yale Child Study Center and the Institute of Living. Dr. Catalano works with adults, couples and older adolescents. She strongly values the therapeutic relationship and creating a comfortable, safe environment with her clients. Her therapeutic approach is most strongly aligned with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, emphasizing mindfulness, self-compassion and value-driven goals. She also utilizes psychodynamic concepts and cognitive behavioral strategies. Dr. Catalano’s areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and problems with inattention. She has special interest in helping college and graduate students and/or their partners with managing stress, anxiety, and the transition to life in the New Haven area.
André Philipp, A.P.R.N.
André joined Integral Health Associates as a Board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner in 2019. Previously, after obtaining a B.A. in Economics from the University of Illinois, he worked in Healthcare Management Consulting, serving hospitals around the United States, and then moved to Burundi to help manage a large agricultural development program. Upon returning to the US, he worked for Albuquerque Healthcare for the Homeless in their Harm Reduction and Mobile Outreach Program for substance users and as a Crisis Hotline Counselor. Through these experiences, he realized that direct patient care was his calling, and decided to pursue a career in nursing. He completed his Master's in Advanced Nursing from Yale University, specializing in Psychiatry. André's treatment approach focuses primarily on the use of medications in collaboration with psychotherapists, focusing on reducing distressing symptoms and improving overall functioning.
Goetti Francois, A.P.R.N.
Goetti is a Board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner who has worked in clinical psychiatric settings since 2016 and joined Integral Health in 2021. She treats individual patients using both medications and psychotherapeutic approaches, emphasizing difference-making interventions. After graduating from the University of Connecticut with bachelor’s degrees in sociology and nursing, she joined AmeriCorps and taught at an elementary school in Rhode Island before returning to work as a registered nurse in her home state of Connecticut. A growing desire to help individuals in a deeper and more longitudinal capacity led her to get her Master’s in Advanced Nursing at Yale. While at Yale, Goetti also completed a concentration in Gender and Sexuality Health Justice.

Administrative Staff
Esther Brasile
Esther has been with Integral Health since its inception and handles scheduling of appointments, payments, and other administrative duties. Her genuine caring, calm sensibility, and good nature are much appreciated by our patients and providers, and she is happy to serve as a first contact for anyone with questions regarding our practice.
Scope of Practice
We treat a wide range of mental health conditions including anxiety disorders (e.g. post-traumatic stress disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder, generalized anxiety), mood disorders (e.g. depression, bipolar disorder), schizophrenia and related disorders, eating disorders, attention-deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), substance abuse, and others.
Many people conceptualize their problems not so much as "disorders" but rather as situational, psychological, or behavioral problems such as family or relationship difficulty, job stress, issues related to self-worth, or maladaptive behaviors. These are all problems that can significantly impact functioning or quality of life, and are areas that we often work on with patients.
Treatment modalities that we offer include individual therapy (e.g. supportive, cognitive-behavioral, and psychodynamic therapies), couples therapy, and medication management.
